Sahara.....Great Movie

For years I have been a big fan of Clive Cussler books. Especially his Dirk Pitt series. They finally got around to making a movie out of one of his books. Sahara is the one they picked. I was nervous about the transition from book to big screen. I was not sure with Matthew McConaughey being picked for Dirk Pitt. Well.....I was wrong...He IS Dirk Pitt. I will not go into details but if you like Raiders of the Lost Ark then I think you will really like this. Also a great sound track to go along with it.

First Day Driving

Ok..Poker has been suck out city and I'm tired of crying about it so....
LETS TALK ABOUT ALEX!!! He got his learners permit today. Now I really do feel old. I took him down to an industrial area that I knew would not have any traffic tonight. He did fine. First time he tried to take off he spun the wheels on Faiths mini van...LOL Zach was in back giggling his ass off. He did a good job...A bit jerky. He did comment that the gas was a little more touchy then he thought it would be. I did have him pull into a dirt parking lot to turn around. There was a little bit of water in the entrance that he had to driver through. We thought it was not deep but we where wrong. :) WATER went everywhere. I was afraid water was going to start coming in through the doors LOLOL..... We did stop by Jerry Sullivians shop to see his 78 2 door Lincoln. Alex loves the car. I may talk to Jerry and see if I can work something out. I know Alex does not need a car yet but it is only $500.00 and I could drive it when it is raining because Fugly is not doing so good right now.....

NOW!!!! I'm feeling old.....

I know it is not like a mid life crises but yesterday my oldest son turned 14. Ok it is not like he is off to collage or I'm got my application for AARP in the mail. It is just one of those times in life that a new door has opened. He is going to start driving. Ya Ya Ya he has to be with an adult or only on his moms 50cc scooter but still. It is that first step of independence for him. He will soon not "need" me. The one thing that makes me feel better is he has a good head on his shoulders. Still does that dumb shit that all kids his age do but I don't worry about him going over the edge. (at least not that much) So Alex...Welcome to the bigger world and have fun exploring it.

Now when his 5 year old brother gets to be his age....aww shit I'm in trouble...

So So Sunday......

Well I played 2 sng.........$5 buy ins......NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Oh my what type of crap they play with. Bumped 5xbb (500) and a guy with 950 or so calles. I have A K. Flop comes K 9 3. The guy goes all in. Ok the way things have been going I'm thinking PP giving him a set or A x paired or not paired but I have him covered by over 1200 and call. MF has 9 3 not even soooooted and it holds. Then one of the stupidest things I have ever heard (seen typed) came up. "I was BB and pot commeted" How in the hell can I keep playing this way. I realy need to work on getting my bank roll up to a level I feel good about and start playing higher limits. I dont seem to get that kind of beat. Or at least not as often. Well after that I just felt like fuck it and was out a few hands later when I went all in with 77. Guy with K 3 calls and catches a 3 on the flop and a 3 on the river......
Yes I know it will turn and there is somthing here for me to learn. Talking to some of the people on Fulltiltforum.com, Im starting to find this is getting more prevelent on all the lower limit tables, not just the dime tables. Good thing is I am even for the day from the ring games. Well to night is Bonseyes and I's home game. Been up every time I have played so I feel good about tonight. More later.........

$6000 Freeroll finish

Well what a roller coaster. Started off very well with doubling up to over 3000 in chips only to have a WADB?? call down my bluff with a 5 2. Well she/he/it lasted a long time but in the end went out with calling crap. As she/he/it should have. I could not get ubove 10xbb most of the time until I hit 3 hands in a row that took me from 2000 in chips up to over 16000. Sat there for a long time until bad luck come my way. Ended up going out when I had A Q (love that hand) sooooted and got called by a guy with A 9. Flop came A Q 9. SWEEET.....I check..he goes all in....YIPPPIE....then the fucking river. :) you guessed it a 9. And Im back in the basement. Few hands latter Im gong out in 60th place and $14.50 more into my account. All in all I feel great about my play. I know where I messed up and I know where I did well. For the most part Im back on my game and feel a lot better. (yes i would have like to of taken first and the $1200) Going to take a break for a wile and come back and see how things go.

HORSE you rode in on...

Ok...Just finished the HORSE tourney....I stunk but had a good time for the little bit I played. Not good at it but I do like the change from straight NLHE. I think what I'm going to do is just take a break for a day. I'm in the $6000 free roll on Saturday and I really would like to have a good showing in it. Just need to clear my mind.

Try #2..... well I had one hell of a first post all typed out and ready to publish.....then.....who knows...hit the spell check and everything went blank. I could get upset but that happens a lot in my life so I just need to move on. :)
Mostly what the "missing" post said was this Blog will mainly be about Motorcycles and Poker. I may even keep you updated about my "Male Stripper" career. As far as family goes I'm smoking on starting up a 2nd Blog just for the 5 of us.
